CWSR-ISRM Conference (24th September): Catalysing Whole System Change Towards a Resilient Future for the UK

The UK is at a pivotal moment in its journey towards resilience. With the establishment of the UK Resilience Academy, updates to the 2022 National Resilience Framework and the release of the 2025 National Risk Register, there’s a growing recognition of the need for a comprehensive and cohesive national resilience plan. The recent recommendations from the Covid-19 inquiry have further highlighted the urgency of this mission.

The Centre for the Whole Society Resilience (CWSR) and the Institute for Strategic Risk Management (ISRM) have been at the forefront of these critical discussions, partnering with the UK Resilience Academy and engaging with key organizations such as the Cabinet Office and the UK National Preparedness Commission. This conference is your opportunity to be part of a dynamic community of practitioners, policymakers and academics.

We are honoured to have the new CEO of the UK Resilience Academy, Rosehanna Chowdhury, providing her first keynote in her new role! We have a couple of excellent panels including Zonia Brown, Robyn Knox, Bronwyn Bullen, Nicola Feakin discussing how they are empowering resilience and then Alastair Brown, Matthew Hogan and Sharon Miller discussing challenges and successes in urban resilience.

Together, we’ll share insights, forge new connections and develop concrete actions to take us forward. Sign up for the conference via the link below!
